Scoring

At the domestic level of basketball, the job of scoring falls to the parents, friends or relatives of the children playing. Usually, one adult representing each playing team will sit on the score bench – one responsible for the scoresheet and the other controlling the scoreboard. 

While all efforts will be made by the club to provide parents with support when first learning to score, it is strongly recommended that you watch the tutorials below to familiarise yourself with the process.

When using the scoreboard, the parent needs to simply increase the score by the number of points scored, as indicated by the referee, to the appropriate team. The parents also need to increase the team fouls on the scoreboard as they occur.
