Registration and Club Fees

Registration

Prior to the beginning of each new season, Team Managers will be asked to reach out to current players to confirm if they are planning to return for the following season so that provisional teams can be put together.

Existing players will be allocated to teams first. If places are available within a team, or if new teams are created, players on the waitlist will be allocated to the teams. The teams, coaches and training times/venues are then released to the existing playing group via TeamApp and to new players via email.

Once teams are finalised, a registration link will be sent to all players who have been allocated to a team for the coming season. Payment needs to be made in full to complete the online registration and secure your place.

All players need to be registered through Play HQ and ensure that their Basketball Victoria participant license is up to date. For new players - a parent/carer will need to create a Play HQ account for themselves and add registrations for the children in their family as dependants (http://playhq.com).  Once a registration profile has been set up you will need to register with the Panthers Basketball Club via the link provided.

Fees

Players are not confirmed on a team until they are registered and fees are paid. The Panthers BC reserves the right to offer the position to another player if fees remain unpaid.

The Panthers Basketball Club aims to keep fees as low as possible and maintain consistent fees across each season.

Fees include:

  • Basketball Victoria Annual Licence fee (paid annually)
    • Basketball Victoria (BV) provides a level of insurance to all registered participants of affiliated associations and clubs throughout all BV sanctioned competitions.
  • Panthers Basketball Club fees (paid each season)
    • This includes game fees for the Coburg Basketball Association covering game day venue entry for players and spectators and game fees for players. This fee also covers costs for training facilities and coaches.
A 5% sibling discount applies to children within the same immediate family, registering on the same Play HQ account.

Once player registration is completed, the PlayHQ system will provide receipts of payment via email. Players MUST complete the registration BEFORE they start their first game otherwise they will not be able to play.
